Call for Papers: Effects of Climate Change in Developing Countries

The Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) of the IPCC regarding climate change indicated the paramount need to curb greenhouse gases for the sustainability of the planet. The journal recognizes the need for more evidence-based research to inform the discussion, particularly from the point of view of developing countries, which may suffer the most but are least equipped to cope. Therefore the journal is seeking review and research papers that contribute to the scientific knowledge-base on the causes, vulnerability, impacts, adaptation, and mitigation of climate change in developing/emerging countries. Papers on innovative strategies are particularly welcome as are papers on the pros/cons of (plant) biomass production (for biofuels). Recognizing that over 66% of the world’s population is starving, papers on [mitigating] climate change’s impact on farming decisions, efficiency and livestock production are also sought. This Call for Papers is complementary to our aim of publishing papers on pressing global environmental issues, such as the impact of human population growth, resolving starvation in the bulk of the world’s population, and the use/misuse of environmental assets and natural resources. There is no deadline for submissions.
